You finally sit down at the end of the day, but your shoulders are still tense.

Your jaw is tight. You take a big sigh without thinking about it. Your mind is still running through what happened today and what needs to happen tomorrow.

Or perhaps you've started noticing your breathing somewhere else.

You wake with a dry mouth. You can hear yourself breathing when you're sitting quietly. You get more breathless than you'd like when running or walking uphill. Breathing through your nose during exercise feels almost impossible.

Most of us don't pay much attention to the way we breathe until something makes us notice it.

But you're breathing all day and all night.

And if your breathing has become fast, shallow, inefficient or more reliant on your upper chest and mouth, it may be contributing to some of what you're experiencing.

The way you breathe can change.

Ā

1:1 breath coaching gives us the space to understand your breathing, see what's actually happening and work with it in a way that makes sense for your body and your goals.Ā

Does any of this sound familiar?

Perhaps you're...

  • Waking up feeling foggy or tired
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Finding it difficult to switch off when you finally have time to relax
  • Getting caught in anxious or looping thoughts
  • Frequently sighing, yawning or holding your breath without realising
  • Carrying tension in your jaw, neck or shoulders
  • Waking with a dry mouth or noticing you breathe through your mouth
  • Snoring or having audible breathing at rest
  • Feeling as though you can't quite take a satisfying breath
  • Getting more breathless during exercise than you'd like
  • Struggling to maintain nasal breathing when you run or train

There can be many reasons for these experiences.

Your breathing patterns may be one part of the picture that's worth looking at.

Why work with me 1:1?

Ā

Because there isn't one breathing exercise that's right for everybody.

You arrive with your own breathing patterns, body, lifestyle, health, fitness and reasons for wanting something to change.

So we start there.

Some people come to me because they're tired of feeling permanently switched on. They want to feel calmer, sleep better or stop carrying so much tension in their body.

Others want to improve their breathing for running or exercise, feel less breathless, become more comfortable breathing through their nose or prepare for altitude.

And sometimes people simply know that something about their breathing doesn't feel right and want to understand it.

We look at what your breath is doing now and work from there.

What happens during 1:1 breath coaching?Ā

1. We start with you

We'll talk about what's happening now, what you've noticed about your breathing and what you'd like to change.

I'll take some simple baseline measurements so we have a starting point and can track your progress rather than relying only on how things feel.

2. We look at how you're actually breathing

We start with breathing mechanics.

Where is your breath moving?

Are your neck, shoulders and upper chest doing more work than they need to?

Are you predominantly breathing through your nose or mouth?

What happens to your breathing when you're resting?

These foundations give us somewhere useful to begin.

3. We work towards your goals

What we do next depends on you.

Our work might include:

  • Developing calmer, more efficient breathing patterns
  • Using breathing to support relaxation and nervous system regulation
  • Reducing unnecessary tension around breathing
  • Becoming more comfortable breathing through your nose
  • Improving breathing during running and exercise
  • Working with feelings of breathlessness
  • Developing tolerance to changes in breathing during physical activity
  • Breathing preparation for altitude
  • Using breathing practices to support sleep, recovery and everyday wellbeing

4. You get your own breath prescription

You won't leave with ten different breathing exercises and another list of things you're supposed to do.

I'll give you a personalised breath prescription based on what we've found and what we're working towards.

You'll practise between sessions, then we'll reassess.

We can repeat relevant measurements, see what's changed and adjust your practices as your breathing develops.

The intention is for better breathing to become increasingly familiar to your body, rather than breathwork becoming another thing you have to remember to do perfectly.

Is a 1:1 session right for me?

A guided breathwork session can give you valuable time to slow down, breathe and settle.

1:1 breath coaching goes somewhere different.

We're looking specifically at your breathing.

How you breathe when you're not thinking about it. What your current patterns might be doing. What could be improved. And which practices make sense for what you want to change.

That individual attention can be particularly useful if you've tried breathing exercises, apps or classes but aren't sure what you should actually be practising.

It's also valuable when you have a specific goal, whether that's feeling calmer, working with your everyday breathing or improving how you breathe during exercise.

Single 1:1 Breath Coaching Session - £80

60 minutes | Hove or online

A good place to start if you'd like to understand your breathing and get some personalised support.

We'll explore your goals, look at how you're currently breathing and take some baseline measurements.

We'll then begin working on the areas most relevant to you.

You'll leave knowing what to practise at home, with a personalised breath prescription rather than a generic collection of exercises.

Ā

5-Session Breath Coaching Package - £350

Initial 60Ā minute session + four approximately 45-minute follow-up sessions

This gives us time to do more than identify what's happening.

We can work with your breathing over a period of time, see how your body responds, repeat relevant measurements and gradually adapt your breath prescription as things change.

It's particularly suited to people who want to make more established changes to their everyday breathing or who are working towards a specific exercise, performance or altitude goal.

£350 - saving £50 compared with booking five sessions individually.

Ā

10-Session Breath Coaching Package - £600

Initial 60 minute session + nine approximately 45-minute follow-up sessions

For those who want more time and support to make lasting changes to the way they breathe.

This longer package gives us the space to work progressively, rather than trying to change everything at once.

We'll continue to assess your breathing, repeat relevant measurements and adapt your breath prescription as your breathing changes and your goals develop.

It can be particularly useful if you've been experiencing breathing difficulties or unhelpful patterns for some time, have several areas you'd like to work on, or want ongoing support towards a longer-term exercise, performance or altitude goal.

£600 - saving £200 compared with booking ten sessions individually.

You can work with me in person in Hove or online from wherever you are.

Breath coaching works very well online. I can observe your breathing, guide you through the relevant assessments and practices, monitor your progress and make adjustments just as we would when working together in person.

Whichever you choose, the work remains individual to you.

ā¤ļø What Clients Are Saying:

Ā

Hi, I'm Polly. IĀ helpĀ busy, ambitiousĀ people stress less and shine more—starting with the most overlooked tool we have: our breath.Ā

As a certified Oxygen AdvantageĀ® Functional Breathing Coach and a Breath Science Practitioner, I'veĀ seen justĀ how transformative breathing can be.

When I retrained my own breath, everything changed: My nervous system regulated, my mind calmed, my sleep improved, my performance soared and I finally found that sense of grounded joy I'd been chasing for years.

Now, I want the same for you.

Your breath comes with you.

It's there when you're lying in bed and your mind won't stop.

When somebody says something that gets under your skin and you feel your whole body tense.

When you finally sit down after a busy day and realise you still haven't really stopped.

And halfway up the hill when your breathing suddenly seems to be working much harder than the rest of you.

You don't need to become brilliant at breathwork.

You can begin by understanding the breath you're already taking thousands of times a day.

And see what changes when it starts working better for you.
